Montricoux is a French commune with 1,207 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). It is part of the canton of Aveyron-Lère , was previously part of the canton of Nègrepelisse and is located in the arrondissement of Montauban . The inhabitants are called Montricounais .

geography

Montricoux is located about 21 kilometers east-northeast of Montauban . To the south, the Aveyron River borders the municipality. Montricoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Cirq in the north, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and Cazals in the northeast, Penne in the east, Bruniquel in the south and southeast, Nègrepelisse in the southwest, Bioule in the west and Caussade in the northwest.
