Caussade is a French commune with 6,863 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . Caussade is located in the arrondissement of Montauban and is the capital of the canton of Aveyron-Lère . It is located on the left bank of the Lère River .

The city is famous in France for its hat production. The best known version is the canoe animal .
