Castanet ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 289 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Castanet belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and the canton of Quercy-Rouergue (until 2015: canton of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val ). The inhabitants are called Castanetois .
