La Rouquette ( Occitan : La Roqueta ) is a French commune with 784 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Villefranche-de-Rouergue . The inhabitants are called the Rouquettois .
geography
La Rouquette is located about 52 kilometers north-northwest of Albi and about 59 kilometers west-southwest of Rodez . The Aveyron limits the community to the east. Neighboring communities are Savignac in the north, Villefranche-de-Rouergue in the north and northeast, Sanvensa in the east, Monteils in the south and southeast, Castanet in the south and southwest and Vailhourles in the west.
