Flagnac ( Occitan Flanhac ) is a French commune with 1,060 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Flagnac belongs to the arrondissement Villefranche-de-Rouergue and is part of the canton Lot et Dourdou (until 2015 Decazeville ). The inhabitants are called Flagnacois .

geography

Flagnac is located about 42 kilometers northwest of Rodez on the Lot River , which borders the municipality in the north. Flagnac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Santin in the north and north-west, Saint-Parthem in the north and north-east, Almont-les-Junies in the east, Firmi in the south-east, Decazeville in the south and Livinhac-le-Haut in the west.
