Sanvensa ( Occitan : Sant Vensan ) is a French commune with 654 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Aveyron et Tarn (until 2015: canton of Najac ). The inhabitants are called Sanvensacois .
geography
Sanvensa is about 63 kilometers east-northeast of Montauban and about 42 kilometers west-southwest of Rodez . Sanvensa is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villefranche-de-Rouergue in the north, Morlhon-le-Haut in the northeast, Le Bas Ségala with Saint-Salvadou in the east, Lunac in the southeast, La Fouillade in the south, Monteils in the west and southwest and La Rouquette in the Northwest.
