Rignac

Rignac ( Occitan : Rinhac ) is a French municipality with 1946 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aveyron , Region Midi-Pyrenees . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton Enne et Alzou (until 2015: canton Rignac ). The inhabitants are called Rignacois .

geography

Rignac is about 23 kilometers northwest of Rodez . The Aveyron flows through the municipality . Rignac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bournazel in the north, Goutrens in the northeast, Belcastel in the east and southeast, Colombiès in the south and southeast, Prévinguières in the south and southwest, Anglars-Saint-Félix in the west and Roussennac in the northwest.
