Goutrens ( Occitan : Gotrens ) is a French commune with 509 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department , Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Villefranche-de-Rouergue (until 2017: Arrondissement Rodez ) and the canton Enne et Alzou (until 2015: Canton Rignac ).

Goutrens is located about 17 kilometers west-northwest of Rodez . Goutrens is surrounded by the neighboring communities Escandolières in the north, Saint-Christophe-Vallon in the north-east, Valady in the east, Clairvaux-d'Aveyron in the south and south-east, Belcastel in the south and south-west, Rignac in the west and Bournazel in the north-west.
