Bournazel ( Occitan : Bornasèl ) is a French commune with 348 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department , Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Villefranche-de-Rouergue (until 2017: Arrondissement Rodez ) and the canton Enne et Alzou (until 2015: Canton Rignac ). The inhabitants are called the Bournazelois .
geography
Bournazel is about 31 kilometers northwest of Rodez . Bournazel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auzits in the north and northeast, Escandolières in the east, Goutrens in the southeast, Rignac in the south, Roussennac in the west and Lugan in the northwest.
