Galgan ( Occitan : Galganh ) is a French commune with 373 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Lot et Montbazinois (until 2015 Montbazens ). The inhabitants are called Galganais .

geography

Galgan is about 50 kilometers west-northwest of Rodez . Galgan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Albres in the north, Aubin in the northeast, Valzergues in the east, Montbazens in the east and southeast, Vaureilles in the south, Drulhe in the southwest and Peyrusse-le-Roc in the west and southwest.
