Boussac ( Occitan Bossac ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron with 579 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Ceor-Ségala (until 2015 Baraqueville-Sauveterre ) and the Arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (until 2017 Rodez ). The inhabitants are called Boussacois .
geography
Boussac is located in one of the southwestern foothills of the Massif Central on the Ségala plateau in the historic province of Rouergue about 18 kilometers west-southwest of Rodez . Boussac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Colombiès in the north and northwest, Moyrazès in the north and east, Baraqueville in the east, Gramond in the south and Castanet in the west.
