Lunac ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 434 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Aveyron et Tarn (until 2015 Najac ). The inhabitants are called Lunacois .
geography
Lunac is about 47 kilometers west-southwest of Rodez . Lunac is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Bas Ségala in the north and northeast, Lescure-Jaoul in the east and southeast, Bor-et-Bar in the south, La Fouillade in the west and Sanvensa in the northwest.
