Sofja Vyacheslavovna Fyodorowa ( Russian Софья Вячеславовна Фёдорова ; born September 4, 1998 ) is a Russian snowboarder . She starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Fjodorowa started at the beginning of the 2015/16 season in Landgraaf for the first time in the European Cup and finished second and one in slopestyle . In the further course of the season she won the slopestyle ranking of the European Cup with four first and two second places. At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Hafjell , she finished ninth in slopestyle. At the end of March 2016 she won the silver medal in slopestyle and the gold medal in big air at the Junior World Championships on the Alpe di Siusi . She made her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in November 2016 in Milan , which she finished in 20th place in Big Air. At the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada , she took 18th place in slopestyle and 13th place in big air. In the 2017/18 season, she made six World Cup appearances, four times in the top ten. She won her first World Cup victory in Slopestyle on the Alpe di Siusi and thus achieved fourth place in the Freestyle World Cup and first place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 21st in Big Air and eighth in Slopestyle.
