Gramond ( Occitan : Gramont ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron with 498 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It is assigned to the canton of Ceor-Ségala ( Baraqueville-Sauveterre until 2015 ) and the Arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (until 2017 Rodez ). The inhabitants are called Gramondais .

geography

Gramond is located in one of the southwestern foothills of the Massif Central on the Ségala plateau in the historic Rouergue province about 27 kilometers west-southwest of Rodez . Gramond is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castanet in the north and northwest, Boussac in the north, Baraqueville in the east and northeast, Quins in the south and Sauveterre-de-Rouergue in the west and southwest.
