Boisse-Penchot ( Occitan Boissa e Panchòt ) is a French commune with 515 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Boisse-Penchot belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and is part of the canton of Lot et Dourdou (until 2015 Decazeville ). The inhabitants are called penchotins .
geography
Boisse-Penchot is located about 33 kilometers northwest of Rodez on the Lot River , which borders the municipality in the north and into which the Riou Mort flows here. Boisse-Penchot is surrounded by the neighboring communities Livinhac-le-Haut in the north, Decazeville in the east and south-east, Viviez in the south, Les Albres in the south-west and Bouillac in the west.
