Naucelle ( Occitan : Naucèla ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron with 2,004 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Occitania . Administratively, it is assigned to the canton of Ceor-Ségala (until 2015: canton of Naucelle ) and the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue . The inhabitants are called Naucellois .

geography

Naucelle is located about 24 kilometers southwest of Rodez in the Massif Central . The Lieux River flows in the south of the municipality. Naucelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Quins in the north, Camboulazet in the northeast, Camjac in the east and southeast, Tauriac-sur-Naucelle in the south, Cabanès in the west and Sauveterre-de-Rouergue in the northwest.

The former Route nationale 597 (today's D997) and Route nationale 88 run through the municipality .
