Manhac ( Occitan is identical) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron with 819 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It is assigned to the canton of Ceor-Ségala ( Baraqueville-Sauveterre until 2015 ) and the Arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (until 2017 Rodez ). The inhabitants are called Manhacois .
geography
Manhac is located in one of the southwestern foothills of the Massif Central on the Ségala plateau in the historic province of Rouergue about 15 kilometers southwest of Rodez . Manhac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Baraqueville in the north and west, Calmont in the east, Sainte-Juliette-sur-Viaur in the south and south-east and Camboulazet in the west and south-west.
