Auzits ( Occitan : Ausits ) is a French commune with 846 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department , Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton Enne et Alzou (until 2015: canton Rignac ). The inhabitants are called auzitains .

geography

Auzits is about 25 kilometers northwest of Rodez . Auzits is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cransac in the north, Firmi in the north and northeast, Saint-Cyprien-sur-Dourdou in the northeast, Saint-Christophe-Vallon in the east and southeast, Escandolières in the south, Bournazel in the southwest, Lugan in the west and Aubin in the Northwest.
