Vaureilles ( Occitan Vaurelhas ) is a French commune with 499 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Villeneuvois et Villefranchois (until 2015 Montbazens ). The inhabitants are called Vaureillois .

The village of Pachins also belongs to the municipality .

geography

Vaureilles is located about 45 kilometers west-northwest of Rodez . Vaureilles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montbazens in the north and northeast, Roussennac in the east, Anglars-Saint-Félix in the southeast, Privezac in the south, Lanuéjouls in the south and southwest, Drulhe in the west and Galgan in the northwest.
