Diane Morgan

Diane Morgan (* 1975 ) is an English actress and comedian. As Philomena Cunk she was leading actress in the BBC - Mockumentarys Cunk on Britain , Cunk on Christmas , Cunk on Shakespeare . In Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe , she asks experts on current topics, asking absurd questions or advocating theses.

Life

Diane Morgan grew up in Farnworth and Kearsley near Bolton , her father was a physiotherapist , her mother a housewife. She attended the George Tomlinson School (now Kearsley Academy ). At 20, she attended East 15 drama school , but was unable to find a job as an actress and instead worked for five years in telephone sales . In 2004 or 2005 she started working as a stand-up comedian . When she received a script for Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe in 2013, her breakthrough as Philomena Cunk began .
