Le Bas Ségala is a French commune with 1,581 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the canton of Aveyron et Tarn and the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of La Bastide-l'Évêque , Saint-Salvadou and Vabre-Tizac , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in La Bastide-l'Évêque.

Le Bas Ségala is located around 35 kilometers west of the city center of Rodez . The municipality is crossed by the Lézert river, which flows into the Aveyron at the northern municipal boundary .
