Causse-et-Diège ( Occitan : Causse e Dièja ) is a French commune with 758 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue and the canton of Lot et Montbazinois (until 2015 Capdenac-Gare ). The inhabitants are called Caussediégeois .
geography
Causse-et-Diège is located about 55 kilometers west-north-west of Rodez on the Lot , which borders the municipality in the north-west. Causse-et-Diège is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Faycelles in the north and north-west, Capdenac in the north, Capdenac-Gare in the north and north-east, Naussac in the east, Salles-Courbatiès in the south-east, Villeneuve and Foissac in the south, Balaguier-d'Olt in the West and Frontenac in the northwest.
