It comprised ten parishes in the arrondissement of Villefranche-de-Rouergue , the main town (chef-lieu) was Capdenac-Gare . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Bertrand Cavalerie.
