The canton of Pont-de-Salars was a French canton in the Aveyron department and the Midi-Pyrénées region until 2015 . It comprised eight parishes in the Arrondissement of Rodez ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Pont-de-Salars . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Alain Pichon was last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 1994 to 2015.
