Cant-de-Salars is a French commune with 431 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it belongs to the arrondissement of Millau and is part of the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Pont-de-Salars ). The inhabitants are called canezols .

Canet-de-Salars is about 18 kilometers southeast of Rodez . The dammed lake Lac de Pareloup is located in the municipality . Canet-de-Salars is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pont-de-Salars in the north, Prades-Salars in the east and north-east, Salles-Curan in the south and south-east, Arvieu in the south and south-west and Trémouilles in the west.
