Tournemire ( Occitan Tornamira ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ) with 427 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017). Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Saint-Affrique and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Tournemirois .
geography
Tournemire is located about sixteen kilometers south-southwest of Millau and about sixty kilometers southeast of Rodez in the historic region of the Rouergue . Tournemire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon in the north and west, Saint-Rome-de-Cernon in the north, La Bastide-Pradines in the north-east, Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux in the east and south-east and Saint-Jean -et-Saint-Paul in the south.
