Villefranche-de-Panat ( Occitan : Vilafranca de Panat ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Occitania (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ) with 703 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). It is assigned to the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Salles-Curan ) and the arrondissement of Millau .
geography
Villefranche-de-Panat is located about 35 kilometers west of Millau and about 35 kilometers south-southeast of Rodez in one of the southern foothills of the Massif Central in a wooded region on the Alrance . Villefranche-de-Panat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Alrance in the north and north-west, Salles-Curan in the north-east, Ayssènes in the east and north-east, Le Truel in the east and south-east, Broquiès in the south, Lestrade-et-Thouels in the west and south-west and Durenque in the West.
