Montjaux ( Occitan : Montjòus ) is a French commune with 406 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department and in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the canton of Tarn et Causses (until 2015: canton of Saint-Beauzély ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Montjoviens .

Montjaux is about 14 kilometers west of Millau . The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . Montjaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Castelnau-Pégayrols in the north, Comprégnac in the east, Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon in the south-east, Saint-Rome-de-Tarn in the south, Viala-du-Tarn in the west and south-west and Salles-Curan in the Northwest.
