Saint-Victor-et-Melvieu is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Okzitanien with 365 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). Administratively, it is assigned to the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Saint-Victorois .

geography

Saint-Victor-et-Melvieu is located about 28 kilometers west of Millau in one of the southern foothills of the Massif Central in a wooded region on the Tarn , which borders the municipality in the north. The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . Saint-Victor-et-Melvieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ayssènes in the north, Viala-du-Tarn in the north and northeast, Saint-Rome-de-Tarn in the east, Les Costes-Gozon in the south and Le Truel in the west.
