Broquiès is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Okzitanien with 612 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). Administratively, it is assigned to the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Broquiésois .

geography

Broquiès is located about 25 kilometers west-southwest of Millau in one of the southern foothills of the Massif Central in a wooded region on the Tarn , into which the Dourdou de Camarès flows. The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . Broquiès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lestrade-et-Thouels in the north and north-west, Villefranche-de-Panat in the north, Le Truel in the north-east, Les Costes-Gozon in the east, Saint-Izaire in the south and Brousse-le-Château in the west.
