Arvieu ( Occitan : Arviu ) is a French commune with 783 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Millau and the canton of Monts du Réquistanais (until 2015: canton of Cassagnes-Bégonhès ). The inhabitants are called Arvieunois .
geography
Arvieu is about 40 kilometers northeast of Albi and about 18 kilometers south-southeast of Rodez am Céor . Neighboring communities are Trémouilles in the north, Canet-de-Salars in the north-east, Salles-Curan in the east and south-east, Alrance in the south, Auriac-Lagast in the south-west and Salmiech in the west and north-west.
