Prades-Salars ( Occitan : Pradas ) is a French commune with 309 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it belongs to the arrondissement of Millau and is part of the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Pont-de-Salars ). The inhabitants are called Salarsipradiens .
geography
Prades-Salars is about 19 kilometers southeast of Rodez . The Violou , which is dammed up to the Lac de Pareloup in the southwest , limits the municipality in the south. Prades-Salars is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ségur in the north and east, Curan in the south-east, Salles-Curan in the south, Canet-de-Salars in the west and south-west and Pont-de-Salars in the north-west.
