Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès ( Occitan Sent Joan d'Aucàpias ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ) with 255 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017). Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Saint-Affrique and the arrondissement of Millau .
geography
Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès is located about 20 kilometers south-southwest of Millau and about 55 kilometers southeast of Rodez in the historic region of the Rouergue . Saint-Jean-d'Alcapiès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon in the north, Saint-Jean-et-Saint-Paul in the south and east and Saint-Affrique in the west.
