Castelnau-Pégayrols ( Occitan : Castèlnòu de Leveson ) is a French commune with 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department and in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the canton of Tarn et Causses (until 2015: canton of Saint-Beauzély ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Castellévéziens .

location

Castelnau-Pégayrols is about twelve kilometers west-northwest of Millau . The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . Castelnau-Pégayrols is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Curan in the north and northwest, Saint-Beauzély in the north, Millau in the east, Comprégnac in the southeast, Montjaux in the south and Salles-Curan in the west.
