Saint-Rome-de-Cernon ( Occitan : Sent Roma de Sarnon ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Occitania (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ) with 925 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Saint-Affrique and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Saint-Romains .
geography
Saint-Rome-de-Cernon is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Millau and about 55 kilometers southeast of Rodez in the historic region of the Rouergue . Saint-Rome-de-Cernon is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon in the north, La Bastide-Pradines in the east, Tournemire in the southeast, Roquefort-sur-Soulzon in the south, Saint-Affrique in the southwest and Saint-Rome -de-Tarn in the west and northwest.
