La Selve ( Occitan La Selva ) is a French commune with 628 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Millau (until 2017 Rodez ) and the canton of Monts du Réquistanais (until 2015 Réquista ). The inhabitants are called Selvois .
geography
La Selve is about 35 kilometers northeast of Albi and about 30 kilometers south-southwest of Rodez . Neighboring municipalities are Cassagnes-Bégonhès in the north, Auriac-Lagast in the north-east, Durenque in the east, Réquista in the south and south-east, Saint-Jean-Delnous in the south-west, Lédergues in the south-west and Rullac-Saint-Cirq in the west.
