The canton of Réquista was a French canton in the Aveyron department and in the Midi-Pyrénées region until 2015 . It comprised seven parishes in the Arrondissement of Rodez ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Réquista . Daniel Nespoulous ( PS ) was the last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 2001 to 2015 . The canton was dissolved in the nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons in March 2015 and was essentially merged into the canton of Monts du Réquistanais .
