Durenque ( Occitan Durenca ) is a French commune with 524 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Millau (until 2017 Rodez ) and the canton of Monts du Réquistanais (until 2015 Réquista ). The inhabitants are called Durenquois .
geography
Durenque is about 45 kilometers east-northeast of Albi and about 30 kilometers south-southeast of Rodez . Neighboring communities are Auriac-Lagast in the north and north-west, Alrance in the east and north-east, Villefranche-de-Panat in the east, Lestrade-et-Thouels in the south and south-east, Réquista in the south-west and La Selve in the west.
