Comps-la-Grand-Ville ( Occitan : La Grand Vila ) is a French commune with 624 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Millau and the canton of Monts du Réquistanais (until 2015: canton of Cassagnes-Bégonhès ). The inhabitants are called Grandvillois .
geography
Comps-la-Grand-Ville is about 35 kilometers northeast of Albi and about 20 kilometers south of Rodez . The Viaur limits the municipality to the north and west. Neighboring municipalities are Flavin in the north and northeast, Trémouilles in the east and northeast, Salmiech in the south and east, Cassagnes-Bégonhès in the southwest, Sainte-Juliette-sur-Viaur in the west and Calmont in the northwest.
