Les Costes-Gozon ( Occitan : las costas de Goson ) is a French commune of the department of Aveyron in the region Okzitanien with 186 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). Administratively, it is assigned to the canton of Raspes et Lévezou (until 2015: canton of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Costois .
geography
Les Costes-Gozon is located about 21 kilometers west-southwest of Millau in one of the southern foothills of the Massif Central in a wooded region. The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . Les Costes-Gozon is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Victor-et-Melvieu in the north and north-east, Saint-Rome-de-Tarn in the east, Saint-Affrique in the south and south-east, Calmels-et-le-Viala in the south and south-west , Saint-Izaire in the southwest, Broquiès in the west and Le Truel in the northwest.
