La Cresse ( Occitan La Cressa ) is a French commune with 317 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aveyron département and in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the canton of Tarn et Causses (until 2015 Peyreleau ) and the arrondissement of Millau . The inhabitants are called Cressois .

La Cresse is about seven kilometers north-northeast of Millau am Tarn . The municipality is part of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park . La Cresse is surrounded by the neighboring communities Rivière-sur-Tarn in the north, Peyreleau in the east, La Roque-Sainte-Marguerite in the southeast, Millau in the south, Aguessac in the southwest and Compeyre in the west.
