Udo Riglewski (born July 28, 1966 in Lauffen am Neckar ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

From 1983 to 1996 Riglewkski was active on the ATP tour. His most frequent partner in doubles was Michael Stich , with whom he won four tournaments (Basel, Vienna, Munich, Memphis). In total, he was in the final of 20 tournaments (including Hamburg), ten of which he won. These successes brought him up to 6th place in the world rankings in doubles (the highest position of a German in the world rankings to date), in singles he reached position 82 as the best place.

He was multiple national and international German champion. In the Bundesliga he was active for ETuF Essen , Waldau Stuttgart , BW Neuss and GW Mannheim . Today he plays in the men's 40 team at the Club an der Alster in Hamburg, with which he became German and European champions.

In 1996 and 1997 he was tournament director of the ATP World Cup in Hanover.

He is the first chairman of the association a chance for talents eV (founded in 2000) to promote athletically talented children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
