Laurie Warder (born October 23, 1962 in Sydney ) is a former Australian tennis player .

Career

Warder in 1982 tennis pro and reached the following year alongside David Graham , the doubles final of the ATP tournament of Auckland . In 1984 he won his first double title with Graham, the following year they won in Florence . In total, he won twelve ATP double titles in his career, eight of them with Mark Kratzmann, including the Masters tournament in Monte Carlo . Another 18 times he was in a double final. He reached his highest scores in the ATP world rankings in 1987 with position 210 in singles and in 1991 with position 12 in doubles.

His best individual result in a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the second round of the Australian Open in 1982 and 1985. He won the doubles competition of the Australian Open in 1993 at the side of Danie Visser by a final victory over John Fitzgerald and Anders Järryd .

Warder is married and has three children. After his professional career, he was an assistant coach at Arizona State University .
