Robert Seguso (born May 1, 1963 in Minneapolis ) is a retired American tennis player .
Career
Robert Seguso was with his long-time doubles partner Ken Flach one of the best doubles players of the second half of the 1980s and achieved his greatest successes in this discipline with victories at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and four Grand Slam victories . He won the French Open in 1987 with Anders Järryd . He won the other three Grand Slam titles and 24 victories in other ATP tournaments with Ken Flach. Between 1985 and 1988 he led the world rankings in doubles several times and for a total of 62 weeks .
Seguso joined Ken Flach in twelve doubles games for the US Davis Cup team and only lost the last two of these games. In the 1991 final, he and Flach lost to Henri Leconte and Guy Forget ; France won the game 3-1 and thus the Davis Cup.
Seguso couldn't reach an ATP final in singles. His best place in the world rankings was 22nd place. His greatest successes were reaching the round of 16 at the Wimbledon Championships in 1985 and at the Australian Open in 1987 .
