Frew Donald McMillan (born May 20, 1942 in Springs , Gauteng ) is a retired South African tennis player .
Career
Frew McMillan won in his playing career, together with the native Australians and later compatriot Bob Hewitt , five titles in the men's doubles at Grand Slam tournaments ( in 1972 , the French Open , in 1967 , 1972 and 1978 in Wimbledon and in 1977 the US Open ). Plus another five titles in mixed doubles come ( in 1966 , the French Open, in 1978 and 1981 in Wimbledon , and 1977 and 1978 US Open). On the ATP tour , the South African achieved a total of 63 tournament wins in tennis doubles and two singles titles.
McMillan played for the South African Davis Cup team from 1965 to 1969 and 1973 to 1978 and won the team tournament in 1974 . However, the final opponent India boycotted the final due to South Africa's apartheid policy . In 1992 he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
