Peter Fleming (born January 21, 1955 in Chatham , New Jersey ) is a retired American tennis player .

In the 1980s, he dominated the doubles competitions in men's tennis together with his partner John McEnroe . Together they won 57 double titles, including four at Wimbledon (1979, 1981, 1983 and 1984) and three at the US Open (1979, 1981 and 1983).

Fleming also won the Davis Cup three times with the US team (1979, 1981 and 1982) and the World Team Cup twice (1984, 1985).

He reached his highest place in the world rankings in singles in 1980 with 8th place, in 1984 he took over the top in the double ranking.

In his career he won a total of three singles and 60 doubles.

On March 1, 2010, Peter Fleming was nominated for induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
