Paul McNamee (born November 12, 1954 in Melbourne ) is a retired Australian tennis player .
Career
The doubles specialist won a total of 23 doubles titles in his career (mostly with his doubles partner Peter McNamara ), including two at Wimbledon (1980, 1982) and two at the Australian Open . In 1981, he led the double world rankings for three weeks .
He won two singles titles; He reached his highest position in the individual world rankings with position 24. With the Australian team he won the Davis Cup in 1983 and 1986 .
Paul McNamee was one of the founders of the Hopman Cup , which he organized from 1988 to 2006.
