Mike Estep (born July 19, 1949 in Dallas ) is a retired American tennis player .

Career

During his career, Estep has won two singles and seven doubles. In the world rankings he reached the highest ranking with position 59 in August 1973.

From 1983 to 1986 he trained Martina Navrátilová . He later worked with Carling Bassett , Hana Mandlíková and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario .

Estep was a member of the Members Board of ATP from 1982 to 1989 and at the same time Chairman of the ATP Ranking Committee . In 1999, he developed a ranking model for juniors for the USTA and supported the Junior Development Council of the Texas Tennis Association from 1993 to 1995.

Estep lives in Hurst , Texas .
