The South African Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of South Africa . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
South Africa has participated in the Davis Cup since 1913 and played in the world group four times. In 1974 , the South African team won the cup, as the final opponent India did not take part in protest against the apartheid policy of South Africa. The most successful player is Wayne Ferreira with a total of 41 wins, Frew McMillan is the record player with 28 appearances.
