The st. The Lucian Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of St. Lucia , which represents the island state in the Davis Cup .
history
St. Lucia took part in the Davis Cup independently for the first time in 1998 , after it had already competed as part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States until 1997 . The first encounter (against the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States) in America Zone Group IV could be won. In 2002 and 2004 they were promoted to Group III, but both times they were immediately relegated again. The last game St. Lucia had to date was a 2-1 loss to Barbados in 2006 .
The most successful player of the island state so far has been Vernon Lewis with 28 wins and 19 losses in 33 games over 7 years. The record player, however, is Kane Easter with 48 matches (22 wins, 26 defeats) during 35 encounters in 7 years.
